How to Select Wallpaper Without Actual Wallpaper Books
by Douglas R. Johnson
July 14, 2007
There are now fewer places to find wallpaper books than ever before. And those stores that do have the books, do not have very many.
Have you ever spent hours looking through book after book putting bookmarks here and there and winding up with stacks of bulky books?
There is now a better quicker way to do it. We have all the books online with thumbnail pictures of every pattern.
(continued below)Here is how to do it. Suppose you want a kitchen and bath pattern. Simply enter a "K" for the book search and you get to see all books that have any word in the name of that book that starts with "K".
You get such books as "K&B and Beyond" by Carefree, "K&B Coordinates" by Sunworthy, and "Kitchen and Bath 3" by Norwall.
We, of course see other books such as "Kettle Creek" and "Kids Kids Kids" which are not relevant to our search. But the selection of what we want is obvious by seeing all the book covers at once.
(continued below)Now lets take a quick look at one of the books, "Kitchen and Bath 3" by Norwall. We simply click and go to the next screen showing bigger picture of the book cover. Then we select seeing all the patterns at once. It may take a minute or two to load, depending on your connection speed.
But there is the entire book on the screen. The pictures are about one inch square but you get the idea of the pattern and of the color.
Maybe you like one of the plaids. Maybe you like the one with the picture of a bottle. What ever you think might be interesting, just click and you get a bigger image.
At this point, you can get a price by just entering a quantity and clicking. The quantity is needed because pricing is quantity dependent.
You can find another book by entering "K" again for the book code. But this time the images of the book covers come up instantly because somehow the computer saves images that you recently had on your screen. Suppose you choose the same book again and bring up the pictures of all the patterns. Again those images come up instantly for the same reason.
I suggest you give it a try. See how to get pricing and how to order samples. Each time you get to the shopping cart, you can delete a line from the cart with just a click.
If you need to change a quantity, just add a line with the correct quantity and delete the line with an incorrect quantity.
Once you get the hang of doing you shopping this way, you probably will not want to spend another minute searching through the actual books in any store.
You can order what you need then and there or get a quote that is good for 30 days and shop around for a better price. Or you could order a sample first.
When you shop around, you will find the best prices at our sister site, The Wallpaper Pirate. www.WallpaperPirate.com
As a note, if you find a pattern on another website and we show the book without images of the patterns of that book, we still list all the patterns both by pattern number and also by page number. I am sure you will find we consistently have better prices than anyone else on the internet.
But not everyone agrees. We do get some 'poison
pen' notes:
